Birthday Debate: “Do attitudes need to change for people with diabetes to have a real treatment choice.”

The Debate, followed by a Reception, was to mark the 15th birthday of the formation of the Insulin Dependent Diabetes Trust and was chaired by Lord Clement-Jones, CBE with speakers from all sides of health care – patients, consultants, GPs and specialist nurses. The debate, although intended to be a light-hearted event, had a serious underlying message that in reality there is often a lack of any real treatment choices for patients.
